Exploring Home Health Care Benefits

Ensuring Your Loved One's Well-Being Round The Clock

As your loved ones grow old, they require assistance with daily activities. Thus, it is prudent to consider 24-hour home care services to improve their quality of life. Home health care services include both 24-hour home care and live-in care for companionship and support. The services enable you or a loved one to have dedicated home care live-in aides to assist with your day-to-day life and make it manageable. Specifically, 24-hour home care and live-in care are excellent alternatives to assisted living because they allow patients to receive care and assistance throughout the day. They are also ideal because they allow the client to receive care while remaining in the comfort of their home. Home care aides strive to maintain each client's dignity, autonomy, and independence while providing them with all of the assistance they require to live everyday lives.

Employing a Live-In Aide

One aide is scheduled for 24 hours per day in live-in care. A live-in home care aide can be scheduled for a maximum of four to five days per week, depending on the location. For the remainder of the week, a different aide will be scheduled. The most significant advantage of live-in care is the reduced number of home care aides, which allows the client to develop a relationship and bond with the aide. The created connection is critical in the caregiving process because it allows the client and the live-in home care aide to understand each other. Moreover, the aides are trained to meet their patients' emotional and social needs, reinforcing their quality of life. Thus, the assigned home care personnel will provide emotional support, especially when you are away from home.

Scheduling 24-Hour Home Care Services

24-hour home care employs two home care aides who are scheduled daily and work 12 hours per day. If you prefer, an extra home care aide can be added to reduce the number of hours each aide must work to ensure alertness at all times for efficient care. Different home care aides will be scheduled to cover 24 hours because one aide can only work a maximum of12 hours per visit. The benefit of having 24-hour home care is that an aide will always be with the client. Having two home care aides ensures that the client is always being watched at all times of the day. The arrangement gives you peace of mind because you know that a competent aide is always on the lookout to ensure your loved one's needs are met.

About Me

Exploring Home Health Care Benefits

Hey there, I'm Jesse Sutherland. When I learned that my child would be born with severe disabilities, I worried about how I would perform all of the healthcare procedures on my own. My child needed mucus sucked out of both lungs around the clock at first. Furthermore, bathing and feeding often required two people to complete without messing up all of the tubes and monitors. Luckily, I was able to receive help from a home healthcare professional, which took a lot of pressure off my shoulders. I want to share all of the assistance I received from these professionals. I will also discuss the benefits of having help with difficult procedures. Thank you for visiting.
